About the DJs
Discos For Hire was established in 2007 by Mike Hackett a long-time Bristol DJ with over 20 years' experience, and was joined by Paul Clack in 2008, who brings a further 25+ years' experience. Our aim is to give the very best service we can at all times.
Mike Hackett
Mike is one half of the Discos For Hire Company. He first started as a DJ back in the mid-80s and won many awards as part of the Force 2 Roadshow. He then discovered nightclubs! He spent over 20 successful years at a variety of venues in the Bristol and south-west of England, before returning to mobile discos, He has a superb reputation as a versatile party DJ who also specialises in 80s, 90s and current dance, r'n'b and chart music.
Paul Clack
Started to DJ in 1978 as Cascade Roadshow and was trained by a professional DJ and compere. Since then he has become a hugely versatile presenter who is always seen with a cheeky smile on his face. He was also a DJ at the now legendary Papillion’s nightclub in Bristol and Yesterday’s nightclub through the 80s, Moving to Plymouth in the 90’s he was seen at most of the top venues of the time where he had the privilege of working with DJs such as Pete Tong and Paul Oakenfold. He now regularly plays with Bristol’s legendary Soul Train. His musical speciality, you would therefore not be surprised to hear, is classic motown, soul, funk and reggae music.

Ewan Hackett
Ewan became a DJ after being very disappointed with the DJ he had at his own wedding, and said he could do way better. Coming from a musical background and teaching piano he was good to his word and has not looked back since, that was 5 years ago. Equipped with a Really large light show and fantastic sound system Ewan is a great member of the family and always eager to please.
Frank Jolly
Based in Weston-Super-Mare, Frank has been a DJ for over fifteen years and is our DJ to the stars. He provides the music and lights for Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor after show parties and has been seen singing karaoke with the likes of Alexandra Burke and Matt Cardle! And this year’s winners Little Mix, If he’s good enough for Simon Cowell then he’s good enough for Discos For Hire! a very versatile DJ and all round entertainer. he is a real Star.
