Terms and conditions
- We will hold a date for the intended hirer for an initial period of 15 working days from the date of the contract. If we have not received the deposit within this time period we reserve the right to accept other enquiries and/or bookings. A deposit of £50 must be paid to secure a booking in the first instance.
- A booking is not considered final until you receive our confirmation by email or by post.
- Any cancellation by you will result in the loss of the booking fee.
- Cancellations within 14 days of the event will require payment in full, within 10 days of cancellation notice.
- All outstanding fees or balances are payable by cheque no later than 10 working days before an event or in cash prior to the DJ commencing entertainment of the evening unless agreed otherwise.
- In the extremely unlikely event of the disco having to cancel, any monies paid to us by the client shall be refunded in full. We will also endeavour in helping to find a replacement DJ or Disco. (This will be the full extent of the disco's liability)
- In the unlikely event that our equipment should totally fail we do carry back up parts, but should this also fail (excluding circumstances beyond our control, i.e. a power cut) a pro rata (Partial) refund will be given based on time remaining of your party/event.
- We require access to the function room at least 60 minutes prior to the start time and up to 60 minutes to pack up and vacate the venue. It is your responsibility to inform the venue of this.
- It is the client's responsibility to ensure the venue is equipped with at least 1 working standard double socket, two are preferred.
- We reserve the right to cancel our services should we discover that the venue is unsuitable or dangerous. In these circumstances, no refund will be made.
- It is the client's responsibility to ensure the good behaviour of their guests. If at any time, before or during the event, we deem our persons or property to be under threat, we reserve the right to terminate our services without further notice. In these circumstances, no refund will be made.
- The client is responsible for any malicious damage or theft of equipment caused by guests attending your event.
- The client will be responsible for pursuing the matter with the individual/s involved in any instances arising at an event.
- The person named as the client on the email or post correspondence is responsible for all payments due to the disco.
- The client will provide sufficient adult supervision of the children attending the event.
- The supervising adults will ensure that the children do not interfere with the disco equipment or prevent the DJ from performing his duties of playing music and entertaining all other guests.
- Booking time on confirmation email or letter will be the time we work to this is an official contract.
A booking fee of £50 is always required once the party/event has been accepted by both Discosforhire and you the client, please note that the booking fee is non refundable.

Payment methods
The remaining balance of your booking fee can only be paid in one of three ways.
- Direct Bank transfer - (please contact us for transfer bank details if you wish to use this method)
- Cheque no later than ten working days prior to the event or party date.
- Cash to the DJ upon arrival to the venue or prior to the commencement of any entertainment on the night.
In the event you cancel the Disco/DJ within 28 days of the performance date then you will still be liable to pay 50% of the balance, if you cancel within 14 days of the performance the full remaining balance will be charged to you the client who placed the booking, and must be paid within 10 days.
Our Policy:
Conditions allowing we always aim to perform at any venue to the highest possible standards.
We always try to give the very best advice or information when asked to do so by any client based on our many years of experience but any information given should only ever be considered as advisory.
If you have not yet selected a venue for your function to be held we may be able to assist you with finding the right venue for your event.
We will carry a wide range of music covering all styles and tastes. If you have specific music requirements, please contact us to discuss them should you require something a little different, and I will endeavour to gain access to it for you event.
All of the equipment used at any event is P.A.T tested for electrical safety.
We also carry £5,000,000 Public Liability insurance, should an accident happen to you or your guests, involving us or the equipment setup at the venue during the party/event.
